My Etsy Journey – How the Passive Income Society Helped Me Grow
When I first started my Etsy journey in late 2023, I had no idea how much it would change my approach to selling online. At the time, I was already running a successful Zazzle store, and I joined the Template Creators Society (TCS) mainly for the clipart and mockups it included to use in my designs. What I didn’t expect was how much the training inside TCS would help me—not just with Etsy, but with Zazzle too!
Taking the Leap into Etsy
At first, opening an Etsy store wasn’t in my plans. But as I immersed myself in the training, I started to realize how valuable it could be to diversify my income rather than relying solely on one platform. I was so impressed with everything TCS had to offer that I soon upgraded to the Passive Income Society (PIS)—knowing I wanted to be part of this amazing community. In December 2023, I launched my Etsy Events store, thinking it would be a natural extension of my Zazzle work. However, I quickly discovered that selling on Etsy was a completely different game! Listing products took much longer than I was used to, and Zazzle still took up most of my time. Thankfully, Jessa’s Etsy Superstar Training and the support of the PIS community made the steep learning curve much easier.
Shiny Object Syndrome Strikes!
Then, in March 2024, shiny object syndrome kicked in! Seeing success stories in the group and inspired by the Midjourney training, I decided to take the plunge and open a clipart store—something I’d never even considered before. I’m so glad I did! Not only do I love creating clipart—though it’s far more time-consuming and involved than many might expect—but I can also use it in my Zazzle designs and Etsy Events store, making it a win-win.
Fast Forward A Year
Now, around a year since launching my clipart store, I’m thrilled with how far it has come! With a growing collection of listings, including some junk journal designs, it has become a creative outlet I truly enjoy. Meanwhile, my Etsy Events store is steadily progressing, though I know I haven’t given it as much attention as I should. Competition is fierce, and in hindsight, I probably should have focused on just one niche at a time—but… shiny object syndrome struck again! 😆
A Huge Thank You to the Passive Income Society
I can’t overstate how much the Passive Income Society has helped me throughout this journey. From Jessa’s training to the support and encouragement of her incredible team and community, I’ve gained so much—not just about selling on Etsy, but the resources included such as clipart, mockups, templates and more are amazing. More training workshops and resources are added regularly, not to mention online meetings several times a week, where you can get your store analysed, help with designs and ask as many questions as you like! Plus there's a social get together on Zoom every Friday for anyone who can be there.
If you’re thinking about opening an Etsy store, or you’re struggling to find the right strategies, I highly recommend checking out PIS. And if you have a store on Zazzle, it's sure to help with that too. I honestly would have been lost without this membership in getting my Etsy stores up and running, and I’m so excited to keep learning and building all my stores even further. There's always something new to discover no matter how far along in your journey you may be.
If you’re thinking about growing your Etsy or Zazzle business, I can’t recommend The Passive Income Society enough! You can find all the details here: https://www.thepassiveincomesociety.com/. There’s often a waitlist to join, but hopefully, the wait won’t be too long—and trust me, it’s absolutely worth it!
In the meantime, if you’re looking for an affordable way to get started, I highly recommend checking out the Template Creators Society: https://www.thetemplatecreatorssociety.com/join1653620527784.
